Characteristics

• By Coating Type:
  • Water-based Coating Light Coated Paper: Coated with water-based coatings, it has good environmental protection performance, fast drying speed, and strong printing adaptability, and is suitable for multiple printing methods.
• Solvent-based Coating Light Coated Paper: Coated with solvent-based coatings, it has better glossiness and printing effects, but during the production process, it may generate certain volatile organic compounds, which have a certain impact on the environment.
• By Use:
  • Printing Light Coated Paper: Mainly used for the printing of various books, magazines, advertising brochures, posters, etc., to meet different printing needs.

Production Raw Materials and Process

• Raw Materials: It mainly uses wood pulp as raw materials. Usually, a certain proportion of softwood pulp and hardwood pulp are mixed to achieve a balance between strength and printing performance. In addition, some fillers and additives, such as calcium carbonate, kaolin, starch, etc., are added to improve the performance of the paper.
• Production Process: First, the wood pulp is made into base paper through processes such as beating and pulp mixing. Then, a layer of coating is evenly applied on the surface of the base paper through coating equipment. After that, it goes through drying, calendering and other treatments to make the coating firmly adhere to the paper surface, thus forming Light Coated Paper.
